The company rooted in 1956 when Mrs. Elide opens a confectionery company to produce panettoni and bakery products. The laboratory was known for its famous “jollini” , small and soft leavened pastries with granulated sugar on sold to the bars for breakfast. The assortment mainly consisted in long-life pastries like diplomatici, crostatine, bignè and trecce. On holidays the range extended with products like panettoni, pandoros. Easter’s colombe, donuts e in the period of November, the appreciated “fave” , a biscuit made with almond paste, flour and sugar. In 1973 Mrs. Elide, with her husband Silio, decides to change sector creating a new company with a strong productive vocation whose main objetive is to produce semivalue and high quality products. During these years thanks to a process of great development and research achieves high competitive levels.

The pass of the generations brings two brothers, Sandro and Simone, into the leadership of the company and market’s strategies developed one more time giving space to the experimentation and innovation. The research leads to the invention of Caffè del nonno, Antonelli’s pride that disrups the whole industry. The dedication and passion used in the invention, development and marketing of each single product together with flexibility and the customer care have made Antonelli able to compete with the most important companies of the industry.
